Im Juni unterschrieb Kenia das Handelsabkommen "EPA"(Economic Partnership Agreement ) mit der EU. Allerdings nicht ganz freiwillig, denn die EU erzwang mit erhöten Handelszöllen die Zustimmung afrikanischer Staaten. So setzte sich der Stärkerer durch, ein altes Prinzip von Ausbeutung.
